LEMUEL HAYES
BIO: I’m originally from the Athens area and studied mechanical engineering at Georgia Tech. I left GT in my junior year to pursue my career as a professional drummer/percussionist.
What year you were here and with whom did you intern?
I worked at Team C from 2008-2009 with Morgan Klaus, Carrie Dagenhard, Erika Frank, Casey Carter Moleno, Katherine Kennedy and Hillyer Jennings. At the time, Candice and Lucas were press and Bill, Shil & JJ were radio. I did pretty much a little bit of everything.
Your most distinct memory of interning at Team Clermont?
Most distinct memory is the week that I was thrown into the fire and made some calls for Shil when he had an emergency to attend to. Awkward phone calls a-plenty!
What you have done music industry related between then and what
are you doing now?
I’m completely immersed in the industry. I’m a professional musician that does all kinds of gigs for hire. I teach lessons, play in musicals, do recording sessions and play in local acts. Currently, I play semi-regularly with Monahan, Ruby Kendrick, Electrophoria & pacificUV. In the past, I played with MISFORTUNE5OO and spent some time playing for Cindy Wilson of The B-52’s. -

TERESA COCHERELL
BIO: Alabama born & bred, UF educated (Marketing ‘03), interned at Team
Clermont, and since then have made Gainesville Florida my hometown.
What year you were here and with whom did you intern?
From May-December ‘03 I worked with (interns) Jennifer, Katie, Robyn,
Alan, Jon, and (staff) Nelson, Bill, Helen, Becki and Jeff. I so
appreciated how the whole team went out of their way to make an out-of-
towner feel at home in Athens.
Your most distinct memory of interning at Team Clermont?
The whole experience at TC was like a lucid dream, with PBR on tap. A
whirlwind of activity, new music, great people. By day: helping Becki
out with press, arranging tour publicity, phone calling, emailing,
snail-mailing, making pasteups. By night: music trivia at Transmet, SO
many amazing shows…meeting Radiohead after theirs. The Prom. I think
a few of us were extras in a movie once (what was that?)
What you have done music industry related between then and what
are you doing now?
After leaving Team Clermont I got an AA in graphic design. Now I work
at an ad agency called Group 5, making ads, brochures, logos, and the
occasional billboard or website. Sometimes I do show fliers, but my
music industry involvement these days falls mostly under the category
of loyal fan and supporter. -
HILLYER JENNINGS
BIO: I am from LaGrange (Las Grangeles), Georgia. I graduated from UGA in 2009 and majored in Finance with a piano Music minor. I was also in the Music Business Program at UGA. I am currently a rising 2L at Harvard Law School.
When were you here at Team Clermont?
I interned at Team Clermont in the fall of 2007. I remember Lemuel and Erin interning at the time as well.Fondest memories of Team C?
Hearing about the Hardee’s big burger challenge was great (not sure why I missed it).
What have you been doing since you interned at Team Clermont? Anything music-industry related?I finished up the Music Business Program at UGA after a brief break in which I spent a semester as a ski lift operator in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Then I helped out Athens lawyer Eric Krasle with some music stuff, and now I am trying to get involved with music entertainment law at Harvard Law School. I met Roger Brown, the President of Berklee College of Music, last semester in Boston, and I am currently scheduled to help out with a music conference to be held in the spring in Boston (hosted by Berklee and Harvard).

CARRIE DAGENHARD
BIO: I’m from Grayson, GA and I majored in Magazine Journalism in Grady College at the University of Georgia. I graduated in December of 2009 and I still reside near downtown Athens.
When were you here at Team Clermont?
I interned with Team Clermont, in the press department, during summer of 2009 along with Rachel Barnhart and Alyssa DeHayes. I worked mostly with Bill Benson and Candice Jones — and, of course, Nelson Wells.
Fondest memories of Team C?
I think one of my most distinct memories was my first day at Team C, being a little nervous and then hearing JJ discussing various names for male genitalia on the phone with a kid from a college radio station. The office was always a comfortable and laid-back place to work. Other than that, it was a summer full of being introduced to some fantastic new music, access to tons of records and building relationships with music personnel all over the country.
What have you been doing since you interned at Team Clermont? Anything music-industry related?
Currently, I’m working with 2010 Athens Popfest on sponsorship and publicity. I’m also exploring freelance writing opportunities in the music journalism field and going to as many live shows as my hectic work schedule will allow.

TAYLOR NORTHERN
BIO: My hometown is Chicago, IL and I majored in international relations at UGA.
When were you here at Team Clermont?
I interned at Team Clermont in the spring of 2007. I recall interning with Adrienne Wiggins, some dude named Mike, a chick named Molly and another girl named Jessi, Jessi Baker I think. Nelson was the chief of staff, Lucas worked there, Bill, JJ, Shil and another guy worked there.
Fondest memories of Team C?
My most distinct memory of interning at Team Clermont is listening to JJ yell at people on the phone!
What have you been doing since you interned at Team Clermont? Anything music-industry related?
I played in a band called Beatrix Kiddo for a while and still play in bands in the Atlanta area. I book local shows and I also run a blog called Shot From Guns. I interview different music personalities and discuss music business related topics on the site (http://www.shotfromguns.wordpress.com). -
PATRICK KEENAN
BIO: I was born in Chicago but grew up in Greenville, SC. As an adult, I’ve lived in Athens, GA, New Orleans, LA, Conway, SC, Charleston, SC, Chicago, IL and spent a few months in Seoul, South Korea end of 2009 beginning of 2010. History Major from University of New Orleans and now am back in school for Graphic Design at International Academy of Art and Design. I just got engaged.
When were you here at Team Clermont?
I worked from January to May in 2006. Brandon was an intern… I remember Joseph Kass worked for one day (sheesh). On the press side was Lucas and Jon, on the radio side was JJ, Helen and Bill. Nelson was in the office. I remember some faces but can’t place the names of everyone else.
Fondest Memories of Team C?
I remember Lucas would start a sentence and I’d tune in… then he’d stop himself suddenly. The sentence would linger unfinished for a minute and then a random 80’s power ballad would start on his computer and he’d immediately be on a new subject. That song would stop after the first chorus and he’d be on the line to a client. I also remember taking home like 30 CDs the first day to listen to and being overwhelmed at the amount of music out there. One of the first times realizing how deep it actually goes.
What have you been doing since you interned at Team Clermont? Anything music-industry related?
I sing and play in the Winter Sounds. We’ve played about 600 shows as a band. All over the US (two west coast tours) and shows in Mexico and Canada. We’ve released two full lengths, two EPs and a compilation of b-sides, remixes, etc. is coming out and we’re recording a new album presently. I started a booking company called Vulcanarmy which books for about 10 bands sporadically.

MORGAN KLAUS
BIO: Morgan Klaus is a UGA graduate from Snellville, Georgia— “where everybody’s somebody.” While interning at Team C, Morgan studied Advertising, New Media, and Music Business. She also bartended at the Applebee’s in Monroe, Ga. which is how she earned the unfortunate nickname of “Riblet.”
When were you here at Team Clermont?
During my year and a half (Jan 08 - May 09) at Team C, I interned with quite a few other interns but spent the majority of my time working with Lemuel Hayes, Jordan Stepp, Melanie Foster, and Casey Carter. As far as full time employees are concerned, I worked with each of the current TC employees and worked closely with Lucas and JJ before they left Team Clermont.
Fondest Memories of Team C?
The entire summer I interned at TC (2008) is full of so many amazing memories. Between Summer Camp (with the karaoke at Little Kings and the trip to Chuck E Cheese) and that year’s Athfest I really can’t pick just one favorite memory. I would say the Elmo pinata at JJ/Brian’s engagement party has to be one of my favorite memories.
What have you been doing since you interned at Team Clermont? Anything music-industry related?
I left Athens after graduation to work for an interactive advertising agency (EyeWonder) on the ATT and GE accounts. Unfortunately, my only connections to the music industry since I’ve left TC have been to see as many concerts as my work schedule allows.

MEGAN HALEY
BIO: Grew up in Hong Kong, New York, and Cobb County. Studied English and Ethnomusicology at Cornell during undergrad, then defected to the south for law school at UGA where I sought sanctuary from the law library in the loving arms of Team Clermont. Practiced criminal defense in Athens for a few years and continued to high five Clermonsters on street corners and in cavernous venues. In 2009, I moved to Atlanta and joined a law firm specializing in complex business litigation.
When were you here at Team Clermont?
I think I was there from around 2003 to 2007 and interned with everybody who’s anybody, including JJer, Little Smokies, Chinatown Polk (aka Ole Jew Bone), Hee Haw, Melodizzle, Little Shan Shan, Neener, Beebo, et al.
Fondest memories of Team C?
After executing dozens of prank calls at 3am with The Show is the Rainbow, I sliced the hell out of my palm climbing a tree in Jeff Griggs’ front yard with a man who painted canvasses in real time to Troubled Hubble songs. That’s pretty much emblematic of a night out with the Clermonsters, though not all of them result in physical scarring.
What have you been doing since your time at Team Clermont? Anything music-industry related?
Now that I’ve switched from criminal to civil legal work, I hope to do more entertainment law and represent artists and/or businesses in the music industry.
